Weddings at Italian Lakes

Lake Como, Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore and the region of Lombardy compose the area known as the Italian Lakes. The beauty of this area has inspired artists, poets, and musicians for centuries. The lakeside towns of Bellagio, Varenna, and the narrow cobbled streets of Orta San Giulio offer true Mediterranean charm and an impressive setting for a marriage filled with romance and allure.

Lake Como is most widely known as the home of celebrities such as George Clooney and of famous designers and prominent personalities. But the most well known Italian Lakes are in the Italian Lake District, located in the north of Italy near the Alps. Further south in less alpine settings, are a series of Italy's 'other' lakes, such as Lake Trasimeno, Italy's fourth-largest lake, and Garda, largest and the most relaxed of the Italian lakes. Garda is long and narrow with a southern shore of rolling hills. At its northern end, the lake is surrounded with soaring mountains and striking foliage.

Lake Maggiore, the second-largest lake in Italy, stretches from Lombardy to Piemonte and reaches into the Alps. Always bustling with tourists Lake Maggiore features a variety of delightful resorts and the famous gardens. The Borromeo family of the Borromean Islands, have a monopoly on Isola Bella and Isola Madre, as well as the castle of Angera, three of the lake’s most popular tourist attractions.

Weddings at the Italian Lakes offer the utmost in elegance. The serene environment coupled with the green, fertile land present the ultimate backdrop for photos filled with brilliant colors and amazing surroundings. The tranquility that these lakes offer is unsurpassed and is usually reflected in the tone of most events and celebrations that take place there.
